IBA Group’s Mobile Payment Solution Expands the Reach in Balkans

January 8, 2024

In cooperation with RPC, IBA Group implemented in Croatia and Albania RaiPOS, a mobile payment application that uses IBA Group’s tapXphone as the core. Based on the SoftPOS technology, the solution transforms an ordinary smartphone into a payment terminal.

As a result, customers of Raiffeisen Bank in these Balkan countries can easily set up mobile payment acceptance for their businesses. All that is required is a smartphone with the RaiPOS application and an internet connection. End users can easily make payments by tapping their debit or credit cards, smartphones, or NFC-enabled accessories like rings, bracelets, and keychains to an entrepreneur’s smartphone.

The RaiPOS application allows sellers to accept all types of contactless payments, including those that require PIN code authorization. RaiPOS is easy to set up and activate. The payments made through the application are secure and certified by the MasterCard and Visa payment systems.

RaiPOS is ideal for entrepreneurs who are looking for mobility and flexibility. The service is instrumental for small and micro businesses, including retail shops, delivery services, cafes, restaurants, and street vendors.

Launched in 2019, IBA Group’s tapXphone has been constantly evolving and broadening the scope of transactions to include areas that were previously difficult to reach. The solution is already in wide use throughout Europe, Asia, and Africa. It is a hub for processing millions of transactions in various countries, including Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Slovakia, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Azerbaijan, Greece, Kosovo, Nigeria, Croatia, and Albania.
